Last year most of my Valentine’s cookies were black – white -red. This year I went for a more lighter color scheme, white and pink. I love how the design came out.
I love birthday party themes such as Elmo. It just give me opportunity to explore more designs and characters for the cookies.
As I mentioned I was invited to a craft fair, and Levi got so excited that he wanted to sell his own cookies. He is a big Star Wars fan, so he designed shapes for me to cut out of the dough. He had some Yoda, and Clone Trouper heads, which he was very proud of.
These were boys cookies, but he wanted to please the girls as well, and had some butterfly cookies for them. But unfortunately we run out of time to decorate those.
He also made a sign ( My name is Levi, and this is my first business. I am 7 years old) Nothing more was needed to draw nice customers to him. He had a great entrepreneur blood ( I am not sure from who? ) he sold the last cookies for a haft the price going around in the crowd. He was so sweet!
Star Wars was a big hit! I might stole his idea and create more of this for boys. Am I wrong doing so? 🙂
It is September, I was debating what I should do as a main theme for the craft fair. I am really not a fan of Halloween, but I like the spider and the net theme. Basicaly I decided to stick to a number of colors, so the table will look good although the shapes will be very different. My son was really excited when I told him about the craft fair and he not even wants to come with me and sell, but also decorate his own cookies and sell them to earn money. Guess what is the shape of his cookies?
I was invited of a BNI member Rich Kramer, how is a great wood worker, to participate in a Craft Fair in Berlin. ( Oh no, it is not the capital of Germany unfortunately, but a little neighborhood town in MA) I’m very excited about that. I have been in fairs with my ceramics years ago, but not with my cookies. I am not sure what kind of designs I will make, but sure it will be some Fall theme.
My son would like to participate with me, and sell his own creations. I hope they let him do it.
I love the smell of baking gingerbread! My recipe is not the normal american style gingerbread, I learned that many people do not like that.
I mixed my Hungarian honeybread and the american gingerbread recipe and the result is for every taste! Even if you do not like the traditional gingerbread, you will like these!
