Sugar Cookie Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cup unsalted softened butter (3 sticks)
- 2 cups white sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 5 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Optional : 1 1/2 teaspoon cardamon powder
In a large bowl cream together butter and sugar, beat in the eggs one by one, and vanilla. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt before you add it to the butter cream. The dough will be pretty soft at the end. Don’t worry.
Make a ball shape and pat it down for about 1 inch thick and cover it with plastic. Put the dough at least for an hour into the refrigerator, or if you want to keep it, you also can freeze it.
Preheat the oven to 375F, roll out dough on a floured surface 1/4 inch. Cut the shapes and place the cookies on to a sheet that you covered with parchment paper. Bake it for 9-11 min. it depend of your oven.
